This is the last time that ‘Visiting Clergy’ will appear as a magazine item. We are very grateful to all the clergy and laity who have stepped in during the interregnum, and have appreciated the range of insights and backgrounds with which they have enriched our worship.

Harvest Festival and Gift Day

We will be holding our Harvest Festival on Sunday October 5th, and combining it with Gift Day. We hope you will be in Church with us to enjoy our Harvest Festival in which we give thanks for God’s gifts to us, and will also join us for Harvest Lunch in the upper hall.

Some years ago the Church made a big contribution to the financing of the Hall refurbishment. The purpose of Gift Day is to raise the money that we would otherwise have received in interest on that contribution, because we need it for the regular expenses that we incur – salaries, the gas bill and so on.

In past years Gift Day has been at the end of June, to coincide with St. Peter’s Day. Since the Stewardship Campaign had only just happened, that date didn’t seem appropriate for this year, hence the change to October for this year only.
