THANK YOU……

…….to all our friends at Bolton Parish Church for the good wishes, beautiful cards and congratulatory messages we received on our Golden Wedding Anniversary, 29th March; also to the Mothers’ Union for the greetings and kind gift of a beautiful rose which will grace our garden very soon.

We spent a joyful weekend with our family after a simple but enriching Blessing Ceremony witnessed by two lifelong friends, Joan and Vera, along with the flower ladies and our youngest son, Colin, and his family.

God’s Every Blessing and our love and thanks to you all.

CHURCHES TOGETHER IN BOLTON TOWN CENTRE

Revd Jean Hurlston Town Centre Chaplain is seeking to recruit volunteers (associate chaplains) who are able to visit people in the workplace - mainly in shops and offices. I am seeking those who are in good standing with their church. This can often be used to test a call to ministry - it is certainly a way to develop pastoral skills. Of course people in the workplace come from all backgrounds; various faiths and often they have no faith at all. Chaplaincy is a way of reaching out to people, listening, supporting them in their troubles and sharing their joys. We visit with agreement from business managers and/or owners. To hear more about what is involved in being a chaplain can email me or ring me on 07885406808

The A.G.M. For CTBTC is at Bank Street Chapel on June 3rd at 7-30pm. It would be good if people from our Church could attend.

Sheila.
