A comment by a Bishop (unknown) submitted by D F Morlidge
I want the will of the Lord to prevail and I pray for discernment in order to know that will. In the end I want what is best for the Church and for its mission to the world. In the end my own personal preferences ought not to matter; for I find that all too often I mistake my personal preferences for the will of God and believe that He must surely agree with me on every issue on which I have made up my mind! It is often hard for me to admit that I might just be wrong. |
