The collation of the Revd Cherry Vann as Archdeacon of Rochdale takes place in Manchester Cathedral at 6.30 p.m. on Sunday 14 September.

 

Many of us have taken a lively interest in Cherry’s journey thus far, and I am sure would like to be present on that evening, offering our best wishes and support to her.

The Mothers’ Union

 

On June 22^nd the Deanery Festival was held at St Stephen’s. During the service certificates for long service were presented to members from different branches. We were very pleased that six of our members received certificates for membership ranging from 38 years to 52 years (a long time!).

 

An enjoyable afternoon was rounded off by tea in the day school.

 

We meet as usual on August 5^th at 2.00 p.m. in the church hall. Anyone interested in joining us will be very welcome.

 

On September 2^nd, we are again invited to Miss Elsie Hulme’s home, and we look forward to this very much.
